Light has an affect. Not sure how drastic of an affect. Same with temperature. Adding to the original list of alternative ideas... Give them something else to do. I've opened up bails of soybean stubble or swtich grass or corn stubble to give them something to pick through as an alternative. W...

Never done it myself, but I'm quite sure it's a no-no. Don't mix the two. There are a lot of things besides just pecking issues to worry about. Space, Diet, Disease, etc. I'm sure it's possible, but it's prefered to keep them seperate.

I start at 94 degrees F. with the temperature slowly decreasing over 6-7 weeks before moving outside.
