I plan on planting a field just for doves, what would be the best crop? Sunflowers?

I've always hunted for doves in sunflowers, but I'm sure there are other things needed to attract doves. Hopefully someone else can shed some more light on the subject.

We plant sunflowers, grain sorgum (millet), corn and beans. Mix it at your own discretion. Right before season we mow a couple paths around the field and zig zag through it. It also helps if you dont spray weed killers to extensively. Some fox tail grass is a nice additon from mother nature and usually found in all of our birds crops.

take the breast stuff with jalopeno peppers wrap in bacon and put in alluminum foil with zesty italian dressing, cook on the grill for 4-5 minutes a side serve with rice. Easy, quick and delicious can also be done on a campfire for a field lunch.
