While deer hunting this weekend we heard several roosters in the fog, cackling. One a couple of drives we kicked up some birds that appeared to very "wild". SW Wiscon. Anyone else see any?

Saw more turkeys than deer. No pheasants though.

I barely saw any deer in North central WI would of loved to have heard or seen some pheasants!

I heard some cackling outside of the Horicon Marsh about a month ago,...I was goose hunting out of a blind but it was good to hear. Are birds released on the National wildlife refugee? I assume they would be wild there?

The Horicon has a Federal side and State side they may be stock by the state, but most likely they are wild birds great habitat makes a big difference.
