I AM WONDERING IF ANYONE COULD PROVIDE INFORMATION ON JOB OPPORTUITYS IN GAME BIRD HUNTING. I AM A UK CITIZEN AND HAVE BEEN EMPLOYED AS A GAMEKEEPER FOR THE LAST 15 YEARS WHICH THE LAST 5 HAVE BEEN AS A PERSONAL GAMEKEEPER FOR A SCOTTISH LAIRD. THIS JOB ENTAILS REARING/RELEASING PHEASANT AND PARTRIGE IN VAST NUMBERS THESE ARE THEN SHOT ON DRIVEN DAYS. DEER STALKING AND GROUSE MANAGMENT. I HAVE THE EQUIVILENT TO A US BATCHELORS IN UPLAND GAME MANAGMENT. I HAVE VISITED THE US FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS AND WOULD LOVE TO RELOCATE TO THE US ON A PERMANENT BASIS. I UNDERSTAND THAT SHOOTING GAME IN THE US IS VASTLY DIFFERENT THAN THE WAY IT IS DONE IN THE UK AND FINDING JOB OPPORTUNITY ON THE INTERNET IS PROVING TO BE VERY DIFFICULT. IF ANYONE COULD PROVIDE INFORMATION I WOULD BE VERY GREATFUL.
My recommendation would be to contact farms and hunt clubs around the United States that raise game birds directly to see if they are looking for someone. It is definitely a unique job. Its pretty tough to tell you what to expect. I myself have searched the New England area for this same kind of job and found no legitimate leads.

Finding a job on the internest is going to be tough. Make some phone calls and see if you can't make some personal contact. You need to get some hands on experience here in the states. You may be able to get some of the experince with some volunteer type work, if you can afford it. If you are serous about this, then you need to get your foot in the door somehow.
