I was on my way to ice fish the south side of Lake Geneva, WI the other day and came across two hens getting grit out of the shoulder of the road. They got out of dodge as soon as they noticed me, into some tall cattails. Good to see.

What kind of impact will the wet spring have on the pheasant population?

It should reduce survivability of hatches a little but most of it was before the hatch of around June 10th down here at least so I don't think it will have a signicant impact. Any loss should renest and just have young birds in september. Time will tell though
