At what age can I start feeding cracked corn to my pheasants?

Is there a difference with feeding cracked corn, whole corn, and corn cobs?

It's been my experience to just give corn to the birds as a snack or a little energy boost.

So will feeding too much corn hurt them?

Steelhead, usually you would not feed corn until they are fully developed and will need a high energy source, say 20 weeks of age. Giving corn to pheasants is like giving kids candy they will get fat and hyper.

So give them corn if the temperature is going to drop drastically over 15 degrees in one day, they are going to be stressed, in a crate for more then 24 hours, or if it is going to rain more than four days. Otherwise all you are doing is putting fat on them.
