Can ringnecks coexist with other game birds say chuckars? Or is it a good idea to keep them seperated?

It is best to keep them separate for disease reasons. If they are full grown and you need to keep them together for a few days you'd be all right.

In addition to disease, you will notice that pheasants are much more agressive than chukars. The pheasants will probably beat up on the chukars, causing even more problems. I do agree, a few days shouldn't hurt anything.

If you do keep them together try to keep them in either a dark place or a room that has a dimmer light on it,...use the lighting to control the activity and aggression of the pheasant,...the other option would be to give them plenty of space so they aren't in constant contact with each other.

I have heard that blue and green lights will keep the birds calmer. Is there any truth to that?
